Zach Bieghler award

PRESS RELEASE

The City of Kingman has been notified that Kingman EMS and Rescue Chief Zach Bieghler will receive the Donald E. White Educator of the Year Award for 2023. Bieghler will receive this award at the annual Kansas Emergency Medical Service Association awards banquet on August 12, 2023. Nominees for this award are submitted to an out-of-state panel with no connection to the nominees to determine the winner.

The purpose of this award is to recognize an outstanding instructor of initial or continuing EMS education. Recipients of this award consistently demonstrate commitment to providing high quality, professional education for EMS practitioners. Winners serve as an outstanding role model for EMS practitioners in the classroom and community. Chief Bieghler exemplifies these high standards for Kingman EMS and Rescue, the surrounding area, and the State of Kansas. He has conducted many EMR and EMT classes both in Kingman and for other agencies. As a result, he has trained EMS practitioners on the staff of many services in the region.

Currently, Chief Bieghler serves as the President of the Kansas EMS Association’s Educator’s Society for EMS educators in Kansas. He has had an active role in local and state educational issues and policies through this work. This involvement helps Kingman EMS and Rescue be on the cutting edge of EMS practice.

Chief Bieghler came to Kingman EMS and Rescue in 2012 and has built it into a model service. The City congratulates Zach for a job well done. His service to Kingman and greater Kingman County is greatly appreciated.
